How to order
1966 saw the introduction of the last Fender original designed bass. With a similar pickup design to the P-Bass®, the Mustang® uses single poles for each string rather than the bi-pole design of the P and Jazz bass®. Later versions also co-opted a Jazz Bass® pickup in the bridge position.
The Mustang Bass set covers are 44mm wide, come with vinyl coated wire as standard and black covers.
Options available:
Magnets
Choose from AlNiCo 2,3,4 or 5
Covers
Black, ivory or parchment (off white)
Hookup Wire
Choose from vinyl coated wire or wax cloth covered wire
Pickguard
As Mustang Bass pickup sizes vary, you can opt for a pickguard you know they will fit on with no messing around. For £30 extra choose from:
White, parchment (off white), black, mint, or brown tortoise shell.
An optional extra to get more gain and punch from your pickup. This also darkens the tone and is ideal for high gain and distortion.
All information about options available is on the support page.
